Paul Crowley's squad. Both teams are 3-1 heading into the first meeting ever of the programs.
The Captains are coming off an impressive 24-14 home win over Salisbury University last Saturday at Kelchner Field at TowneBank Stadium. The win snapped a 21-game Sea Gull winning streak in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC), and also ended a seven-game winning streak by Salisbury in the head-to-head series with the Captains.CNU's defense rose to the occasion, allowing just one offensive touchdown and holding the Gulls to just 2.7 yards per play. Fifth-year senior cornerback
Josh Uvodich, who made two interceptions, was chosen the NJAC's Defensive Player of the Week as well as named to the National Team of the Week by D3football.com.
The Red Devils of Dickinson are coming off a dramatic 19-17 victory over Franklin and Marshall last Friday night. The triumph, which ended on a Devils touchdown on the game's final play, was their third straight and followed wins over NJAC members Kean University and the College of New Jersey.
Saturday's battle at Biddle Field Complex will be the final non-conference game of the season for the Captains, who will hit the halfway point of the season following the game. Their final five games will all be NJAC contests.
