MARIETTA, Ohio - The teams met exactly four months ago...tonight they play with a trip to the Final Four up for grabs.

Christopher Newport University and Marietta College. The fourth-ranked Captains and the second-ranked Pioneers.

On November 12th at Roanoke College, they met in the opening round of an early-season tournament. The Pioneers came from behind in the final minutes and pulled out an 86-83 victory. It was the first game of the year for Marietta, just the third for the Captains.

Four months to the day later, the squads meet boasting lofty records and long winning streaks. The Captains are 27-2 and riding a 24-game string of victories. John Krikorian's squad had little trouble Friday, posting a decisive 93-54 victory over Stockton in the Sweet 16. 

Marietta was challenged by Oswego State Friday, but pulled away in the final minutes to an 89-81 triumph. The Pioneers are now 28-2 and have won 26 straight games.

It's the Elite 8. Fasten your seatbelt. Tipoff is at 7:00 p.m.
