Christopher Newport Volleyball Heads to Lynchburg for Final Away Match of the Season

The Christopher Newport Captains wrap up their 2021 road slate on Tuesday evening when they travel to match up with Lynchburg. The Captains boast a 7-3 mark on the road this season headed into their matchup with the Hornets.

The Captains' weekend schedule featured the homestanding Randolph-Macon, No. 12 Emory, and national No. 1 Johns Hopkins. Maddie Carter led the Captains with 32 kills through those three matches and has led the team in kills in five of the last six matches. Sammy Carroll totaled 30 or more assists in all three matches this weekend, including against Johns Hopkins, when she assisted on 32 kills and scored seven points (four kills, two blocks, service ace).
