"Defensively we were focused on their two big scorers, and I thought we did a really good job holding them to a minimum," Head Coach
John Krikorian said. "This is a tough place to play and we've had some intense battles here including a one possession game last year. We had a lot of guys step up for us tonight and contribute at both ends of the floor."
Junior
Adrian Beasley posted 13 points, junior

Nick Parks added 11. Aigner is now just 18 points shy of 1,000 points for his career. In addition to Anderson's ten points and ten rebounds, he also blocked five SMC shots.

Overall, the Captains made 38 of 73 total shots (52 percent). The Captains have now won 12 straight games in the series with the Seahawks, and hold a 19-9 edge in the all-time series. Just a week ago, Christopher Newport registered a 93-58 victory over St. Mary's at the Freeman Center.
Christopher Newport travels to Pennsylvania Saturday for a key conference battle with York College. Tipoff time is set for 4:00 p.m. The Spartans are one game behind the Captains in the conference standings at 6-1, with their only CAC loss coming in early January at the Freeman Center. A victory by the Captains Saturday would clinch the CAC regular-season crown and top seed in the CAC Tournament later this month.
