The Captains are 19-5 overall and 8-1 in the Capital Athletic Conference. Christopher Newport is coming off an 82-64 victory on Saturday over Salisbury, as the Captains improved their record this season at the Freeman Center to 11-1. Junior Jason Aigner eclipsed the 1,000-point mark for his career, becoming the 33rd Captain to reach the plateau in the 53-year history of the men's basketball program.

Christopher Newport and York enter play on Wednesday tied for the top spot in the CAC with 8-1 records. York concludes the regular season with a home game against St. Mary's Wednesday night. If both teams win, the conference's top seed for the upcoming CAC Tournament will have to be decided by a coin flip.

Southern Virginia has struggled through a 1-23 season so far, and the Knights are 0-9 in CAC play. First-year head coach Adam Wardenburg's squad won its only game at Eastern Mennonite on December 3rd, and the Knights have lost 15 in a row since. The squads met in Buena Vista on January 15th, and the Captains pulled away to an 83-55 victory. Christopher Newport has won 20 of 21 games all-time with the Knights, and the Captains have taken the last ten games in the series.

The game will be broadcast live on the Christopher Newport/Pepsi Radio Network (Xtra 99.1 FM) with the pre-game show beginning at 6:40 p.m. Video and live stats will also be available.
