NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Christopher Newport returns to the Freeman Center for the first time in almost three weeks Wednesday night, as the Captains host the Seahawks of St. Mary's College (MD). Tip time is set for 7:00 p.m. for the Capital Athletic Conference battle.

The Captains are 15-4 overall and 4-0 atop the CAC heading into Wednesday's game, and riding an eight-game winning streak.
John Krikorian's squad is coming off a 72-64 victory on Saturday at Salisbury. The Captains have played their last three games on the road, winning all three to take sole command of the conference lead. The Captains are 8-1 at home this season, but last played at the Freeman Center on January 10th in a 79-68 victory over York to open CAC action.Â
Senior
Dalon McHugh II has taken over the scoring lead for the Captains, and is now averaging 12.1 points per game. He has registered double-doubles in the last two games for the Captains, and posted 14 points and 11 rebounds on Saturday at Salisbury. McHugh is also now leading the Captains in the rebound column, averaging 6.8 per game.
Junior
Jason Aigner is scoring at a clip of 11.9 points per game, and has now scored 919 points for his career in 81 games as a Captain. Freshman
Ian Anderson is also nearing double digit scoring, averaging 9.6 points per game.Â
St. Mary's is 7-12 entering Wednesday night's tilt, but the Seahawks have won their last two outings. St. Mary's is 2-2 in conference play, and is coming off a home victory over Southern Virginia on Saturday.
The Captains have won the last ten games played with the Seahawks, including both meetings last season. Christopher Newport holds a 17-9 edge in the all-time series.
