GRANTHAM, Pa. - The Christopher Newport University Volleyball team returned to the win column with a 3-0 (25-19, 29-27, 25-18) triumph over Cabrini College on Friday evening in the Messiah Invitational hosted by Messiah College. CNU improves to 3-5 while Cabrini drops to 4-4.

Abby Oren paced the team in kills with 10 while Riley Garrison added nine and Mackenzie Wright seven. Hope Webb and Rebecca Frey each contributed three aces while Megan O'Hara and Garrison recorded two blocks apiece. Sammy Carroll handed out 38 assists while Crofford had a team-high six digs. Webb and Carroll also had five digs each.

The Captains return to the court on Saturday to conclude play in the Messiah Invitational with a noon contest against #2 Calvin College followed by a 4 pm tilt with the hosts.
