BRIDGEWATER, Va. -- Sophomore
Julia Ng recorded the first double-double of the season in one of the finest performances of her career to lead the Christopher Newport women's basketball team past Bridgewater College (0-3) by a final score of 106-67. The Captains pulled away from the host Eagles with 61 points combined in the middle two quarters while Ng led the way with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Ng led the effort on the boards with 12 total rebounds including five on the offensive end of the floor. In all, Christopher Newport grabbed 27 offensive rebounds and 40 on the defensive side. After Ng's team-leading 12,
Anaya Simmons added six,
Natalie Terwilliger hauled in six, and
Katy Rader grabbed five. Christopher Newport out-rebounded Bridgewater by a final count of 67-39.
Offensively, sophomore
