NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Due to unplayable field conditions after winter weather affected the area this week, the CNU baseball game scheduled for Saturday has been canceled. Christopher Newport will look to make up its game against North Carolina Wesleyan College later in the season. 

Weather had a big impact on this weekend's schedule as CNU was also originally scheduled to play 21st-ranked Bridgewater College on Sunday, saw the contest moved to Friday, and ultimately canceled as well. The Eagles and Bishops, set to play a neutral site game at 2:00 pm, will take the field if playing conditions improve. 

The Captains will return to action on Thursday, February 19 as they play host to the Randolph-Macon College Yellow Jackets (3-0) at 2:00 pm.
