NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Due to the inclement weather over the weekend, both the Christopher Newport University baseball and softball teams will see another change to their 2014 spring season. 

Both teams were scheduled to play makeup games on Monday, March 31, but will now play those contests later in the week. 

First, the baseball team will now play at the University of Mary Washington on Tuesday, April 1, with first pitch still slated for 3:00 pm. The Captains have also announced a makeup date for the doubleheader versus Frostburg State, originally scheduled for Saturday, March 29. CNU will now take on the Bobcats this Sunday, April 6 in Frostburg, Md. 

On the softball diamond, the Captains have seen several changes to their doubleheader schedule for the weekend. The games have been moved one more day due to the rain. Now, CNU will take on the York College (Pa.) Spartans on Tuesday, April 1, with a 3:00 pm start, and then Penn State Harrisburg on Wednesday, April 2, also at 3:00 pm.
