NEWPORT NEWS, Va. --- The Christopher Newport men's lacrosse team will kick off a four-game home stand on Monday when CNU welcomes FDU-Florham to Captains Turf Field for a 4 p.m. showdown.
Having posted a thrilling 7-6 overtime victory over Hampden-Sydney in their last outing, the Captains currently sport a 3-2 record entering Monday's match-up. The Devils are also coming off of a win on Wednesday against Maritime College and hold a 1-3 mark overall this season.

Netting a team-high nine goals this season,
Aaron Chrzaszcz has been a leader on the offensive end for Christopher Newport.
John Thompson has been just as lethal, dishing out 14 assists while scoring eight times.
Alex Barber, the hero of Thursday's overtime victory, has also scored seven goals and chimed in with three assists as well this season.
Keeping the opposition off balance,
Brenden Dwyer has notched a team-best seven caused turnovers, while
Zakary Burkhard has forced five. Both
Nick Mandros and
Ari Elgort have found success in faceoffs with the former compiling a .655 winning percentage while the latter has won a team-best 29 duals.
Standing tall in the net for CNU,
Andy McGregor boasts a .569 save percentage and a stellar 6.88 goals-against-average. Overall, he has made 41 saves and surrendered just 31 goals during 270 minutes of action.
Ryan Reuther has been FDU-Florham's top faceoff man this season, securing 58 percent of his duals. Jake Higgins has been the top offensive force, posting a team-best 11 goals. Cory Weiss also leads the way with six assists, while Cody McHugh is tied for second on the team with eight points after collecting seven goals and a helper.
On the defensive end, Joe Miller and Gerry Yotcoski have split time in goal for the Devils. Yotcoski leads the way with 31 saves and a 7.58 goals-against-average. Meanwhile, Joe Yobbi has also added an imposing presence on defense, forcing a team-best seven turnovers while picking up 17 ground balls.
