BUENA VISTA, Va.- The Christopher Newport men's basketball squad is in the midst of four straight road contests, and Wednesday night the Captains take on the Knights of Southern Virginia. The Captains are 4-1, and coming off their first away game in the stretch, a 68-59 win at Eastern Mennonite on Sunday night.

Southern Virginia is 1-3, and coming off its first win of the year, a 69-54 victory over St. Joseph's. SVU is transitioning to Division III status and is a member of the Capital Athletic Conference, although the two games against the Knights this season do not count in the league standings.

CNU will officially open play in the CAC on Saturday, when the Captains travel to York (PA) for a 3:00 p.m. game.

The game at Knights Sports Arena Wednesday night tips off at approximately 7:30. The game will be broadcast live on the Christopher Newport/Pepsi Radio Network (Xtra 99.1 FM) and online at www.CNUsports.com/live with the pre-game show beginning at 7:10 p.m.
