NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The fourth-ranked Christopher Newport University baseball team (3-0) returns to the diamond today for a 2:00pm game against Virginia Wesleyan College (1-1). The Marlins are coming off their first win over the season, beating Averett, 4-2.
CNU has opened the year 3-0 including a win over 5th ranked Cortland State on Saturday. Relievers

Ryan Fleischmann have been impressive out of the pen, allowing just one earned run in 11 innings of relief so far this season. Offensively, CNU has been led by All-American
Connor Madden, hitting .500 (7-14) with eight RBI.
Virginia Wesleyan comes into today's game with Alex Tucci getting both decisions in the early season, 1-1 on the year. Pike Brynildsen is 4-8 in two games with a double and two RBI.
