ANNVILLE, Pa. -- Saturday night, two teams who have never before appeared in the NCAA Elite Eight will face off with a trip to the Final Four on the line. The 11th ranked Christopher Newport University Captains (28-3) will take on host and 16th ranked Lebanon Valley College (28-2) at 7:00 pm in the sectional final.

One of the two teams will advance to its first ever NCAA Final Four, set for next weekend on the campus of Illinois Wesleyan College. The host Dutchmen advanced to the regional final with an 83-61 victory over William Paterson in last night's Sweet 16 round, while CNU moved on with a hard-fought 80-76 win over 9th ranked Kean University.

Chelsie Schweers continues to round out her career with a tremendous swan song in the NCAA Tournament, averaging 35 points per game in three games of postseason action. She scored 35 last night and was a CNU-record 11-for-11 from the charity stripe. Seniors

Barbara Davis were also in double figures, scoring 16 and 12 respectively.
Lebanon Valley's leader, senior guard Andrea Hoover was just shy of a triple double, scoring 25 points with nine rebounds and nine assists. She is averaging 11.7 points and 5.9 assists per game, ranking in the nation's top ten in dimes.
Tonight's NCAA contest will tip at 7:00 pm. For fans who can not attend the game in Pennsylvania, CNU will be hosting a watch party in the President's Reception Room located on the second floor of the Freeman Center. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the event is open to all fans.
