NEWPORT NEWS, VA.- The 14th-ranked Captains of Christopher Newport host Ferrum College this weekend at Captains Park. The USA South Athletic Conference baseball games will be played at 1 pm Saturday and Sunday.
CNU, off to its best start in program history, was 16-1 and riding a 15-game winning streak heading into a Friday non-conference game at Virginia Wesleyan. The streak is also the longest in program history.

Sean Chitsaz, who is scheduled to start on Saturday, was named honorable mention Player of the Week this week by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Ferrum, 8-7 overall, is 0-2 in conference play so far.
