NEWPORT NEWS, VA - Saturday night at POMOCO Stadium, Christopher Newport will host Shenandoah in a key USA South battle. Both teams are 2-2 overall and 1-0 in league play.
Both teams are coming off decisive USA South openers last Saturday.
Matt Kelchner's Captains won at Methodist, 26-14, while the Hornets blew out Greensboro in Winchester, 30-7.
CNU has won six straight in the series, and leads 7-3 through the first ten meetings.
One dollar of every ticket sold at the gate Saturday night will be donated to the Peninsula Food Bank. Fans can also make donations of canned food items or cash Saturday night as Food Bank representatives will be in attendance.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the game will be the first conference home game under the lights for the Captains.
