NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Christopher Newport University will put their five-game winning streak on the line Tuesday night, as the Freeman Center takes on 11th ranked Randolph-Macon College at 7:30 pm. CNU is 13-5 so far this season, taking on the 17-3 Yellow Jackets.

Tra Benefield earned his ninth Rookie of the Week earlier today, as he has helped lead Christopher Newport to eight wins in their last nine games. Benefield's 16 points and nearly eight rebounds per game have been key, while junior guard
Conley Taylor is leading the team in scoring with over 23 points per game.
Randolph-Macon ranked second in the pre-season national rankings and is still ranked 11th in the country. R-MC is led by Danny Jones, coming off the bench to score a team-high 14.3 points per game. Brandon Braxton and Eric Pugh are also in double figures, averaging 12.3 and 10.9 points per game.
