NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The 11th ranked Christopher Newport Captains (16-2, 10-1) head back out on the road this weekend for a pair of USA South Athletic Conference games. CNU will take on Peace College on Saturday at 2:00 pm, followed by a 2:00 pm tilt Sunday against Meredith College.
Led by senior guard
Chelsie Schweers, who joined the NCAA Division III all-time scoring top five last game, the Captains have surged out to a 16-2 overall mark. She is leading the nation in scoring at 24.4 points per game, while classmates

Peace has won three of its last six games, improving to 7-9 overall with a 3-7 mark in league play. The Pacers are led by Karissa Herring, with 14.1 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. The Captains held Herring to just one point and four rebounds in the first matchup this season.
On Sunday, the Captains will face the Avenging Angels of Meredith College at 2:00 pm. Meredith has struggled to a 4-10 overall mark, including just one win in nine conference games.
