COMPLETE GAME NOTES - GAME TWO at SALISBURY UNIVERSITY

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- The Captains of Christopher Newport (0-1) head to Salisbury, Maryland, for a Saturday night non-conference game with the Sea Gulls of Salisbury University (1-0). CNU opened the year with a loss to third-ranked Wesley College last weekend, to kick-off the tenth season in program history. Last year, the Captains defeated this week's opponent in triple overtime, 27-21, at POMOCO Stadium. Christian Woelfel-Monsivais stepped into his first collegiate game in triple overtime, leading the Captains past the Sea Gulls with a crucial 4th down conversion, followed by a two-yard scamper for the game-winning TD.

Salisbury will be coming in with a 1-0 mark so far, after defeating USA South defending champs N.C. Wesleyan in the opening week. Sophomore defensive back Chris Everett earned ACFC Defensive Player of the Week honors after posting 13 tackles in week while adding a forced fumble and recovery.

This will be the ninth meeting between CNU and Salisbury, with the Sea Gulls leading the all-time series, 5-3.
