NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The top-seeded Captains will host the first round and quarterfinal matches tonight in the Freeman Center. The action starts at 5:00pm as #8 Shenandoah takes on #9 Ferrum. The winner of that match will play the Captains at 7:00pm.

The Hornets of Shenandoah ended their regular season 17-13 overall and 6-12 in conference play. The Ferrum Panthers are 1-27 overall and 1-17 in the conference. The Hornets topped the Panthers 3-0 in both of their matches this season.

CNU ended the regular season 32-2 and 18-0 in conference play. This is the fourth year in a row that the Captains have had an undefeated regular season in USA South action. The Captains defeated Ferrum and Shenandoah 3-0 in each match this season.

The winner of the quarterfinal match tonight will play at 5:00pm or 7:30pm on Friday November 6 at the highest remaining seed after the second round has concluded.
