NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The 11th-ranked CNU women broke to a big early lead an coasted to their 18th strraight win, a 92-50 victory over Mary Baldwin Wednesday night at the Freeman Center.
CNU raced to a 20-point lead, 28-8, in the first ten minutes with
Chelsie Schweers scoring 17. By halftime CNU led, 42-20, and went on to the easy win.
Schweers finished with 23 points in 25 minutes, including 5-7 three-pointers.
Kelly Halverson added a career-high 18 and
Jessica Moore added 16.
The Captains are now 18-0 and 11-0 in the USA South. Mary Baldwin is 7-8 and 5-6.
CNU hosts Peace Sunday at 2 p.m.
