NEWPORT NEWS, Va., - A 50-point second half helped lead Wesley to an 80-68 win over the CNU men Friday night at the Freeman Center.
Wesley took the lead for good with 10:34 to go in the second half after holding a 30-29 halftime advantage.
The Wolverines increased the margin to 14 points, 70-56, with 4:30 to play and were never again behind by less than 11.
CNU was led by
Mike Green with 22 points, while Jake Capin added 19. Rudy Thomas paced Wesley with 24.
The Captains, now 4-4, will not play again until Jan. 2, when the open the Captains Shootout. The game scheduled for this Sunday at Frostburg St. has been postponed.
