Erin Wojtkun

Erin Wojtkun begins her 10th season as an assistant coach with the Christopher Newport women’s soccer program in 2019.

During her time on the sidelines, she has helped CNU post a 136-41-11 record for a .753 winning percentage. In conference action, the Captains have been even stronger, capturing six regular season championships on the way to a 100-6-3 mark.

In her first year on the staff, she helped Christopher Newport earn an NCAA Tournament berth while compiling a 16-5-1 record in 2010. That team also rolled to a pristine 9-0 mark in USA South play, marking the squad’s fifth undefeated season in league action.

Prior to joining the coaching ranks, Wojtkun was an award-winning goalkeeper for the Captains. A four-year standout from 2005-08, she was a three-time All-Conference selection and a two-time All-State pick. Making an immediate impact as a freshman, she earned first-team All-VaSID accolades while setting single-season program records with 11 shutouts and a 0.61 goals-against-average.

For her career, she ranks second in the CNU record for shutouts (23) and fourth in goals against average (0.89). In over 5200 minutes of action, she earned 54 starts and accumulated 191 saves.

A native of Fairfax, Wojtkun graduated from CNU in 2009 with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Leadership. She also completed a Master’s Degree in Teaching in 2010 and has since gone on to earn her Doctorate from The College of William & Mary.
