NEWPORT NEWS, Va. -- Due to increasing concerns of inclement weather effecting the Hampton Roads area, the Christopher Newport Department of Athletics has announced several schedule changes for this weekend. 

Softball
Today's doubleheader against Maryville is scheduled as planned, with a 2:00 pm start. Sunday's two-game set against the Ferrum Panthers, however, has been rescheduled for a later date.  The Captains will now host Ferrum on April 4, 2013 with a 3:00 pm start.

Tennis
Director of Tennis Eric Christiansen announced that Saturday's match against Maryville would be delayed to a 1:00 pm start. The Captains are currently scheduled to also face Ferrum College on Sunday, at 10:00 am -- stay tuned to CNUsports.com for updates. 

Baseball
The fifth-ranked Christopher Newport baseball team was scheduled to play a three-game set over the weekend at Averett University. After winning game one on Friday, 3-1, the Captains and Cougars have agreed to move Sunday's third game to the back end of a doubleheader on Saturday. First pitch is set for Noon on Saturday at Owen-Fulton Field in Danville, Va.

Women's Lacrosse
Currently, both games for the 16th-ranked Captains this weekend are still set to be played as originally scheduled. Stay tuned to CNUsports.com for updates.
