NEWPORT NEWS, VA- Christopher Newport University has been selected to host a 2010 NCAA Division III Softball regional. Eight schools will be selected to compete at Captains Field as the NCAA Tournament begins Thursday, May 13th.

The bracket for the 2010 tournament will be released by the NCAA on Monday, May 10th. CNU's softball team hopes to receive an at-large bid and play in the tournament for the fourth straight season. Keith Parr's Captains have a record of 36-8 and were 17-1 at home this season.
