MEBANE, N.C. - The CNU golf team was in third place, 14 shots behind Methodist and four behind Greensboro, after the first day of the USA South golf tournament Friday.
CNU shot a 302 total and was led by
Joseph Evans who was in seventh place with a two-over-par 74.
Brian Jaeger was eighth at 75.
Chris Martin was tied for ninth place at 76.
Four teams, Averett, Ferrum, N.C. Wesleyan and Shenandoah, were well behind the leaders.
