Women's Track and Field Team Ranked No. 1 in South Indoors; Men No. 3

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - CNU's indoor track and field teams posted high power rankings during the recently-completed indoor season, according to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
The CNU women were the top-ranked team in the South/Southeast Region and were No. 17 in the nation. Meanwhile, the men were the third highest team in the region and No. 27 nationally.
The Power Rankings measure team depth as well as strength by assigning points to a team's top two performers in each Championship event and limiting individuals to three events. The host web site allows users to run "virtual dual meets" between teams in the rankings.
