Day 2 - Getting There...

Good morning fans!

So it's 4:30 in the morning and we're already up and getting ready to leave for the airport at 5. Jerlisa, Lauren Gural, Tia and I were some of the first people to arrive at the airport, but it wasn't too long before, one-by-one, people began to show up -- some of them looked really excited and some looked like they had never been up that early before! It didn't take long before everyone had their tickets, our bags were checked and we were through security waiting to board the plane.

Our first flight was going to be taking us to Minnesota. As we were boarding the plane, they took our tickets and some of our seats got rearranged, including putting Chelsie and Coach Hunter together for the first flight. The two hour flight was quick, but we arrived a little late so we had to hurry to make our connecting flight to LAX. The flight to LAX was going to be a bit longer, but we were able to watch a movie (Eat, Pray, Love with Julia Roberts) to pass the time. Some of us were able to sleep, but others weren't so lucky. I was sitting next to Kimmy Hopkins and Jen Falin and they said "flying is very hectic and uncomfortable. It's hard to sleep, my ears are constantly popping and I can't breathe because people won't stop passing gas. But on the bright side, they had some amazing cookies." Hey, when I said I was going to give you an inside look at our trip, I meant it. Even though we are headed to one of the prettiest states, not all of this traveling stuff is pretty and leave it to those two to point it out!

We finally arrived at LAX and we were able to get off the plane for about half an hour to get some food and use the restroom. We got back on the plane and were about to get some sweet pictures of the California coast on our way to Hawaii.

At 6:51 in the evening, we are FINALLY here! The flight was long and cramped, but we're troopers. Once we landed, we got our bags and then waited for Coach to pick us up in the vans. We then went to the hotel to check in and got settled in our rooms. After a late night meal, we hit the sack for an early morning practice at 10 am...if only I can shake off this jet lag before then!
