CNU Golf Wins Hampden Sydney Invitational

NEWPORT NEWS, VA - The Christopher Newport Men's Golf team came back from 14 strokes down after the first round to take home first place in the Hampden Sydney Golf Invitational.
CNU received scores of 73 from Chris Olson, 79 from Chris Martin, 80 from Tyler Horney, 82 from Joe Evans and 84 from Ben Culotta to total 314 for the day and tie them with Randolph Macon and Hampden Sydney at 649 for the tournament. The tiebreaker in this situation defers to the fifth man on the team and his overall score. Ben Culotta shot an 84 on both days to total 168 which was two strokes better than Sean Gatz of Hampden Sydney.
Up next for the Captains will be the Ted Keller Memorial in Glen Allen, VA. They will play this weekend October 3-4.
