Bell Finishes Third, Harper Fourth At NCAA Outdoor Championships

MARIETTA, OH – Christopher Newport track & field athletes Isaac Bell and Leroy Harper finished third and fourth in their respective events at the 2009 NCAA Outdoor Championships Saturday.
Bell, competing in the triple jump, set a new personal best with a mark of 15.23 meters, finishing third in the event. His mark is a new personal best and he’s now second on the school’s all-time list, just .03 meters short of the school record.
Harper, who missed the finals in the 100 by mere hundredths of a second, finished fourth in the 200 with a time of 21.40.
This concludes the 2009 season for the Captains.
