FAYETTEVILLE, NC – Christopher Newport golfers Joseph Evans and Chris Olson were named Honorable Mention All-USA South.
Evans is averaging a 77.75 per round after 12 rounds of play, heading into this weekend's USA South Tournament. His best finish so far was when he won the Camp Lejeune Scarlet with a combined total of 211. He shot a season-best 67 on day one of the event.
Olson is averaging 76.4 per round through 14 rounds of action. He tied for third in the fall at the Ted Keller Invitational. His best round was a 70 that came at the Barton Intercollegiate.
Methodist's Josh Schrader was named the Player of the Year. Greensboro's Ben Nihart was named the Rookie of the Year and the Monarchs Steve Conley was named Coach of the Year.
