JEKYLL ISLAND, GA – Christopher Newport's golf team shot a 311 on day two and is in eighth place with a two-day score of 614 after day two of the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational hosted by Oglethorpe Saturday.

Huntingdon is in first place with a two-day score of 578. Methodist is second with a 581, Oglethorpe is third with a total of 584, Illinois Wesleyan is fourth with a combined total of 587, Trinity is fifth with a 607, Rhodes is sixth with a 609 and Greensboro is seventh with a 612.

Joseph Evans is tied for 29^th with rounds of 78-74 for a two-day total of 152. Chris Olson is tied for 41^st with a 76 Friday and a 78 on Saturday for a combined total of 154. Kyle Schaffner (73-83-156) and Joseph Suarez (77-79-156) are tied for 53^rd. Matt Wagner is tied for 63^rd with rounds of 77 and 80 for two-day total of 157.

The Captains conclude the tournament Sunday.
