Biography

2006-2007 - Finished third outdoors in the 1500 at the Mason-Dixon Conference Championships with a time of 4:08.66. A Dean’s List student in the Fall semester and included on the USA South all-academic team.

 

At Hickory: Ran three years of cross country and track and was All-State in the 800 meters, a three-time All-District and All-Region selection and team captain in track and cross country. He was also on the Dean’s list in the spring of 2006.

 

Personal: Kyle Christopher Oakes was born Feb. 4, 1987 in Chesapeake, Va. and is a Biology and Chemistry major. He is the son of Kevin and Kelly Oakes and has a brother, Kody, 18, who also is a member of the CNU track and field team...Kyle was in the National Honor Society, the Key Club and was on the Dean’s List. He transferred from Coastal Carolina where he ran on the cross country team.
