FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. - CNU sophomore Chris Lyford (Leesburg, Va.) was selected as the USA South Runner of the Week after placing second in a dual meet with Virginia Wesleyan last week. Lyford completed the 6K course in a time of 19:22, helping the Captains capture the victory (25-32).

Also nominated were Bryan Swann (Averett) and Josiah Renton (Shenandoah).

Lyford and the Captains return to action on September 18 at the Dickinson Long/Short Invitational in Carlisle, Pa.
