SABRINA HILL, from Stafford, Va., was a two-time All-American and one of the top softball standouts in the history of the Captains program.

Hill played for Christopher Newport from 2012 to 2015, starting 175 of 176 career games played. She was named All-America by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCAA) following her sophomore and junior seasons in 2013 and 2014. She was also selected the Conference Rookie and Player of the Year by the USA South Athletic Conference following her freshman season in 2012...and went on to be named Conference Player of the Year again in 2013 and 2015.

The graduate of Mountain View High School still holds Christopher Newport career records for most hits (223), runs batted in (191), and total bases (384). She finished her career with 40 home runs, second most in program history.

Christopher Newport teams recorded an overall record of 139-42 with Hill in the lineup for a winning percentage of .768. The Captains advanced to the NCAA Tournament each of her four seasons and won at least 30 games every campaign. Hill's career stats sparkled with a career batting average of .395 (9th all-time), slugging percentage of .680 (6th all-time), 37 doubles (7th all-time), and 565 at bats (4th all-time). Her 176 career games played is the 7th most in program history, and 175 starts is 6th highest in the record book.

The accolades for Sabrina Hill also include being selected all-region and all-state in all four seasons. She was picked to the All-Regional Tournament squad in 2012, 2013, and 2014 and was MVP of the tourney in 2014. She was chosen first team All-Conference all four years as well.
