Marquita Mines is the latest installment in a plethora of esteemed track & field athletes inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Mines was a six-time All-American, earning three individual All-American honors and three as a member of a relay team.
Her best individual performance came in 2005, when she placed third in the indoor long jump at the NCAA Championship. She also finished fifth in the outdoor long jump and sixth in the 2004 indoor long jump.
As a member of the 400 relay team, Mines and the Captains finished second nationally at the 2002 outdoors, and followed it up with a third place effort in 2003. Mines won five Mason-Dixon conference championships in her time at CNU.
