In four years with the Captains' field hockey program, Lichty established herself as one of the most decorated players in Christopher Newport history. A two-time National Field Hockey Coaches Association All-American, she also collected first team All-Conference honors and was named to the NFHCA Senior All-Star Game. She also picked up All-Region honors three times and was a VaSID All-State selection in 2012.
Statistically, Lichty concluded her career as the all-time leader in career appearances with 79 while contributing 17 goals and 14 assists. She ranked second in CNU history with 4,302 minutes played and still ranks in the top-six all-time. Lichty scored six game-winning goals, including four against top-ranked opponents like a thrilling late-game winner against No. 7 Salisbury in her senior season. That season, Lichty helped guide the Captains to their first ever appearance in the NCAA Final Four, starting all 23 games of a 21-2 season that saw the team set program marks for victories, points, and goals. Off the field, Lichty became the first field hockey player in Christopher Newport history to be named a CoSIDA Academic All-American and she was also selected as one of 11 finalists for the NCAA Woman of the Year award presented by Honda.
