Harry Nodwell
Men's Golf & Men's Soccer (2014-17)
- Only the second athlete in CNU History to earn All-American honors in multiple sports, earning third team honors for both soccer and golf
- Broke the program record for career scoring average, setting the standard at 74.63 and still ranks in the top-three all-time
- Helped lead CNU to five conference championships between both teams while earning All-Region honors all three years with soccer and twice with golf
After transferring to Christopher Newport following an All-Conference rookie campaign at Averett University, Nodwell set himself apart as one of the most accomplished athletes in CNU Athletics history as a two-sport star. As a three-year starter for the Captains men's soccer and men's golf programs, Nodwell helped lead CNU to five of a possible six team championships and four NCAA Tournament appearances. In 2014, the Devon, England native was part of a magical run for CNU Men's Soccer all the way to the national quarterfinals while posting the second most wins in program history.
Nodwell became just the second defender ever to earn All-American plaudits after earning first team All-Conference laurels each year of his career. He capped his golf career with first team PING All-Region honors for the second straight year after ranking second on the team in top-five finishes. With the Captains, Nodwell earned first team All-Conference honors five times, while adding a sixth recognition on the second team.
