Named conference Coach of the Year eight times (1999, 2000, 2003, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2012); led his team to the Elite Eight in 2000, 2008 and 2009, and has reached five straight postseason tournaments.

Personal

Shaw and his wife, Alice, reside in Newport News, VA; their oldest son, Joshua, played four years of soccer at CNU; daughter Angelina is an artist and a graduate of VCU; youngest son, Derek, played four seasons of soccer at CNU.
