NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Christopher Newport stands in 24th place nationally in the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings after the winter sports season.
  CNU completed an outstanding winter, with both the men's and women's basketball teams reaching the NCAA Tournament and the women going to the Sweet 16.
  The Directors' Cup standings are determined by a point system based on each school's results in NCAA play.
  Overall, however, CNU had a program-wide record of 132-40-7 through the end of the winter sports season, a winning percentage of .757.
