NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - CNU's unbeaten women's basketball team moved upward in two national polls released Tuesday.
The Captains, now 12-0, rose from the "others receiving votes" category of the d3hoops.com poll to number 20, and improved from 24th place to 21st in the USA Today/ESPN poll.
It all came after a week in which CNU won twice on the road in USA South play to expended its season-opening streak to 12.
CNU hosts N.C. Wesleyan in USA South play Wednesday at 5:30 in the Freeman Center.
