NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – Christopher Newport head track and field/cross country coach Tyler Wingard has announced the schedule for the collegiate and high school track & field meet series the school will be hosting at its outstanding facilities in 2009-10.
The schedule will feature four indoor collegiate events on the 200-meter Vince Brown Track at the Freeman Center on the CNU campus. The two high school invitationals on the schedule have traditionally been among the largest and most competitive indoor meets in the Commonwealth.
During the outdoor season CNU will host two more collegiate events on its newly-rebuilt track at POMOCO Stadium, as well as the 26th edition of the High School Captain’s Classic.

Captain’s Invitational & Multis – Jan. 29-30, 2010
Vince Brown Invitational – Feb. 6, 2010
Last Chance Pentathlon – March 4, 2010 (Pending NCAA Last Chance Meet approval)
Outdoors
Blue & Silver Challenge – April 17, 2010
New Captain’s Classic – May 8, 2010
