SWARTHMORE, PA – Christopher Newport's track & field squad competed at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet Monday.
Leroy Harper had another outstanding showing, winning the 200 in 21.52 and placing second in the 100 with a time of 11.02.
The men's 4x400 won in a time of 3:17.12. The women's 4x400 finished second in 3:59.98.
Isaac Bell was second in the triple jump with a leap of 14.13 meters. Dira Hansen was third in the triple with a mark of 11.38 meters. She was also fifth in the 400 hurdles in 1:04.98, a personal best and a time that ranks her seventh on the school's all-time list.
Jared Rader finished fifth in the pole vault with a height of 4.40 meters. Kwarteng Asare was seventh in the long jump with a leap of 6.11 meters.
Amy Wampler placed sixth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 11:50.19. Shannon Walker was ninth in the 400 with a time of 58.98.
The Captains may compete in another Last Chance Meet this Friday, if they don't, they return to action May 21-23 when they head to Marietta, OH for the NCAA Outdoor Championships
