THROGS NECK, NY – Christopher Newport's sailing squad finished 12^th at the America Trophy/MAISA Championship this weekend.

Georgetown won the event, followed by the hosts, New York Maritime, Navy, Washington (MD) and St. Mary's (MD). The Captains 12^th place finish gave them victories over Maryland, Virginia, Cornell, Delaware, Ocean County and Drexel.

Team members were Ben France, Lynn Ball, Jessica Thal and Tyler Million.

The Captains return to action this weekend when they head to Williamsburg, VA for the Colony Cup hosted by the College of William & Mary.
