NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Christopher Newport’s sailing squad had a fine showing at the CNU 2-on-2 this weekend.
In the preliminary rounds, the Captains and Fordham tied with five wins and one loss each. Maryland, Virginia and William & Mary each finished 3-3. VA Tech and Hampton were 2-4 and the second CNU team was 1-5.
In the final rounds, Fordham finished 3-0 with Christopher Newport second at 3-1. Virginia was 1-2 and Maryland went 0-3.
In the Blue Fleet, the CNU 2 team went a perfect 3-0, Virginia Tech was 2-1, William & Mary finished 1-2 and Hampton went 0-3.
The CNU teams consisted of Ben France, Lynn Ball, Jessica Thaland Tyler Million. The CNU 2 team was comprised of Maxwell Plarr, Meghan Magee, Tyler Myers, and Brennan Russell.
The Captains return to action this coming weekend where they will take part in the Ocean County 2-on-2 in Toms River, NJ.
