GLEN ALLEN – The Christopher Newport golf team won its second consecutive tournament by taking a six-shot victory over Greensboro at the Ted Keller Memorial Tournament on the Hunting Hawk Golf Course Sunday afternoon.
CNU shot a 305, to go with its 292 Saturday, to finish at 597, six shots in front of Greensboro and eight better than host Randolph-Macon.. The Captains won the Hampden-Sydney Invitational last week.
CNU was led by Joe Evans who placed third with a 72-74—146. Chris Olson finished one shot further back, tied for fourth, while Ben Culotta had a 72-79—151 and tied for 12th place.
The Captains conclude their fall schedule when they play in the Virginia State Intercollegiate Oct. 12-13.
