Golf Rallies, Places Second at State Golf Championship
Chris Olson tied for fourth place with a 149 total

WINTERGREEN RESORT, Va. - The Christopher Newport golf team rallied to within four shots of Randolph-Macon, but finished second in the annual Virginia Intercollegiate Golf Championship Monday.
CNU shot a second day 310 and wound up the event with a 619 total, but Randolph-Macon held on with a 315 second day and 615 total to take the event.
For the Captains, Chris Olson tied for fourth place with a 76-73--149, a shot better than teammate Joe Evans who had a 74-76--150 to tie for eighth place.
The tournament concludes CNU's fall schedule.
