NEWPORT NEWS, VA – Christopher Newport’s volleyball squad swept Peace in a USA South Quarterfinal match Tuesday night at the Freeman Center.
 
The Captains won by scores of 25-19, 25-17, and 25-11.
 
Allie Wolfe led CNU with 15 kills on 25 attempts with two errors for a .520 hitting percentage. She also had two aces and seven digs. Ellen Koch finished with 12 kills and 12 digs.
 
Ryann Lowery finished with 27 assists, three aces and four digs while Jessie Heavenrich had 19 assists.
 
Peace concludes the year 16-17 overall while the 21st-ranked Captains improve to 31-6. CNU will take on Greensboro, who defeated Methodist, in a semifinal match on Friday at the Freeman Center with start time set for 7:30 pm.
