Joey Sutphin begins his sixth full season as assistant coach for the
Christopher Newport women’s tennis team.

Sutphin has served as a staff member at the Kingsmill Tennis Club in Williamsburg, Va. for 18 years. He competes in area tournaments and is recently retired from the Newport News Fire Department.
A native of Dublin, VA, Sutphin was a member of the tennis team at Radford College.

He and his wife, Cindy, have two sons Ryan, 22 and Adam, 19.
